During the making of his highly acclaimed book, No Place For Children: Voices From Juvenile Detention, TIME Magazine photojournalist Steve Liss became close with one of the Texan subjects, a boy named Santos Estrada. Liss made a promise to Santos’ family to bring him to Chicago when he became old enough. Santos recently turned 18 and took him up on the offer.
Very sensitive picture of a sensitve person who obviously knows something about sensitive pictures. Nicely done, Matt.
